Division of Control and Automation Engineering
1. Divison overview
Division of Control & Automation Engineering under the Faculty of Electrical Engineering - Hanoi University of Industry, was established on October 1st, 2021 under Decision No. 854/QD-DHCN, on the basis of merging 2 divisions: Division of Measurement & Control and Division of Automation. The Division of Control and Automation Engineering performs the key tasks of training, scientific research and technology transfer. Currently, we have been cooperating with many prestigious foreign universities and research institutes such as Kyung Hee University (Korea), Australian National University (Australia), University of Delaware in the US. (University of Delaware), Shanghai Electric Power University (China), Hunan University (China).
2. Lecturers and officials
100% of the Division's staff and lecturers have a Master's degree or higher. Our lecturers have a spirit of enthusiasm, creativity, sufficient capacity and in-depth knowledge to implement major topics and projects. In addition, they have a lot of experience and dedication to education career; passionate about scientific research and technology transfer.

3. Training activities
Together with other divisions, the division of Control and Automation Engineering performs the task of training undergraduate and graduate levels for Electrical - Electronic Engineering; Engineering Control & Automation; Electrical Engineering. In addition to teaching duties, the Division also performs other tasks such as: improving and developing new training programs to meet the requirements of high-quality human resources in the current industrial revolution 4.0. The Division is in charge of teaching the following specialized modules:
Basic and advanced control theory (modules: Signals and systems, Theory of automatic control, process control, Numerical control, and fuzzy control system);
Equipment and automation control systems in industry (modules: PLC programming technique, the microprocessor in measurement and control, FPGA, wireless sensor network, electro-hydraulic control, flexible production systems, automation of technological processes, synthesis of electromechanical systems, data acquisition and control systems, control of industrial robots, management systems buildings, computer-controlled engineering);
Power electronics and electric transmission (modules: Power electronics, electric transmission).
4. Scientific research and technology transfer
In addition to teaching duties, scientific research and technology transfer are also key tasks of the Division. Over the years, the lecturers in the division have implemented many science and technology projects, carried out science and technology transfer which has contributed to promoting the development of scientific research work of lecturers and students. Up to now, our lecturers have carried out more than 25 scientific and technological topics and projects at all levels (including chairing and participating); published more than 150 articles in prestigious national and international journals and scientific conferences; compiled more than 20 textbooks and reference materials.

Students' scientific research:
Students' scientific and technological activities including Conducting student scientific research projects (each year instructing over 100 students), participating in the Robotmini contest organized by the Faculty, participating in the Robocon contest organized by Vietnam Television (achieved in the 1/16 round nationwide) ... In addition, the division also conducts many training activities and introduces future technology trends and orientations to the students.
